Tour Description
Join us on a visit to Orchid World located on a beautiful eight acre tropical garden surrounded by sugarcane, in the heart of the Barbadian countryside.
The meandering pathways lead you through a tour of various orchid houses, home to thousands of beautiful orchids.
Then visit Bathsheba famous for its breathtaking beauty and pounding surf. After a morning of adventure it will be time to taste the flavor of Barbados with local cuisine served up at our lunch stop in Martin Bay.
After lunch we will make a short stop at St John's Church one of the oldest churches on the island, set on a cliff and capturing spectacular views.
Our last stop is Sunbury Plantation a restored grand old 'great house' is more than 300 years old and overflowing with history. It is the only one of the many great houses in Barbados with all rooms open for public viewing, and is a perfect representation of an early Barbados Sugar Estate Great House.
Sunbury House features a collection of mahogany antiques, old prints, china, glassware and silver as well as a unique collection of antique horse-drawn carriages. This superbly furnished historic museum brings to life the 1600s - 1800s with true impressions of what life was like on a Sugar Plantation or Estate in Barbados during that era.
